The Orthodox Survival Course is a 13 lecture series given in the 1970’s by Fr. Seraphim (soon to be canonized a saint by ROCOR) at the Platina Monastery in California. It is designed as a spiritual “survival guide”. It traces how anti-Christian and revolutionary ideas developed from the Middle Ages to the modern era so that Orthodox Christians can recognize the “Spirit of the Age”. It essentially establishes a patristic mindset based on the Holy Fathers. The Survival Course may be downloaded for free on the internet (e.g. SCRIB)
